Lyrics of Come On

Come on and show me
Just what you mean to me
Come on and show me
Your daily atrophy
Come on and show me
Just what I mean to you
Come on and show me
Just what you are
Come on and hold me
Just like you used to do
Come on and squeeze me
When I make love with you
Come on and show me
I picked out who you are
Come on and blame me(?)
I like it now(?)

Come on and stroke me
Just like you whip your bat
Come on and show me
I ain't seen nothing yet
Come on and show me
I don't know where I'll go
Come on and show me
I wanna know!

@lolttyl143 They most definitely sold out. On 'Let It Be'. You know th eoverrated piece of shit everyone kisses up to. Yet it is so annoyingly poppy it sounds like any other flavor of the month 'alternative' radio aor band out there. Sorry ma, give me their first two records and flush the rest. I will even accept hootenanny but even that had the pop undertones of what was coming next. Simply put they threw away their punk legacy and sold out. Just like Husker Du did on dudlike Flip Your Wig.

@Sean021122 The reason everyone kisses up to it is because it is a masterpiece like every Mats album. Bands change, and all three mentioned were and are still good after their change. You are the first person i have heard say the Replacements sold out and the Goo Goo Dolls sold out and Husker Du sold out. I think your definition of "sellout" is a little off. It means when the artist doesn't care about the sound or the quality of their art, just the money.

@lolttyl143 A masterpice? Really? Really? Well it's in the eyes of th ebeholder and I'm not in the idiot masses who eats up evertyhing that someone highly touts as great or gets commercial success. In fact I run the other way. Usuaully it's a sign that is a piece of crap if people see it as a 'masterpiece'. "Let It Be' just like its Beatles' predecessor is a heaping portion of feces and has been overrated mainstream sellout aor pop forever. Always will be. And yes I can point to...

@Sean021122 The Mats were not sellouts. Go fuck yourself. It's called alternative and if you can't accept it then fuck off. Have you even taken the time to listen to "Bastards of Young" or "Alex Chilton"? Two great fucking songs.

I have every pressing of this self titled/first release on cd. All mint condition! all RARE collector's items with the true sex maggots/love dolls sound on them. Before they sold out on 'hold me up'. I also have all pressings of the lp in close to mint shape! So anyone who wants them make me offers, you might get lucky :P Btw anyone who is interested in the real dolls before they turned to crap, listen to this record/cd and the one afterwards "jed" to see what they have forgotten exists!

@lolttyl143 Let It Suck, Flip The Bird, and Hold Him Up as thress pivotal sellout records by the aforementioned bands that were once great punk entities. They toally changed and dove headfirst into contrived homogenized watered down crap to sell records. Even if they say they didn't, you can see the obvious changes that were unlike the Mats, Huskers, and Goo's. And after those particular records, those bands would never be punk again. In fact they would never be in my collection again either ;)

Now listen to the first record and then "jed" and contrast theor sound with evertyhing that came after. It's kind of like the replacements "sorry ma" & "stink" compared to all the sad sellout pop crap they put out after "hootnenany". Sad how bands turn to crap and lose all sight of their music vision and identity and start listening to dollar signs, record com. execs and suits.
